Went out for drinks, went to a party, felt weird and came home…t see how all of you are ringing out the old and in the new. It’s 10:34pm and within 15 minutes I will be the only person in the place still awake. So 2010 (twenty ten) you get to come like a thief in the night this year…when you take my mom with you, can yu take her gently?

Manhattan Loft Party
I went with a friend to a Manhattan New Year’s Eve party for a family who had lost their only child a few months earlier. The party was lively, crowded with folks from the NY Art Scene and held in a chic loft in lower Manhattan.
As Midnight nearer, the parent’s asked if we could all sit in silence for one minute in remebrance of their daughter. The crowd stilled and everyone found...
Usually, in my other life...
On New Years we take out the sailboat and hang out in Marina del Rey BBQing and then jockeying for position with a thousand other boats (of ALL sizes) for a good spot next to the fireworks barge. Then everyone lays out on the deck of the boat, drink in hand and watches a spectacular fireworks display directly overhead.

Tis morning I had an ultrasound of an ovarian mass I’ve been cultivatiing. This required that a camera go in to visit my ovaries and to take photos. It’s a pretty straight forward procedure and one I have undegone a few times already.
