Juxtaposition
Tonight, I went to serve dinner at a homeless shelter in Santa Monica. It was crowded with folks waiting in line for food, and watching the Academy Awards as they waited.

Coyotes are barking
We haven’t had very much coyote activity recently, sometimes I forget they are even a part of life here in our canyon. Tonight there’s a pack in the park across the street. I can just see them in the fringe of light around the street lamp that shines in my bedroom window. They are all barking, which has my dogs barking, while the cats are growling and looking nervously out the window....
