Animalworld.tumblr.com was started on a whim - as a counterpoint to the standard Tumblr fare of puppies, kittens and cute animals—and an attempt to show what other animals populate the planet. I was not expecting the blog to take off the way it has. Even with the attrition these past few months when there have been few posts, still over 7,200 followers, 100,000 hits since August/Sept. I’ve learned a TREMENDOUS amount about the animal kingdom from this blog.

So about a week ago I started a new blog solely about animals, http://animalworld.tumblr.com and I have to say, I’m having so much fun.
It’s a total time suck.
I’m posting photos but adding a little info about the animal as well so as I’m doing research on one animal, I’ll run across a bunch more — animals like hoatzin, cuscus, deboaz, bandicoots, and wolf’s monkeys (which should just be called Wolf monkeys since they resemble werewolves)…and then suddenly half the day is gone.
On this blog, Tumblr is making me work hard…I can only go back a couple of pages at a time before the next page scroll get hung up, and I can’t pot anything to the queue without a problem so I’m missing out on a lot of your posts which means a lot of the fun as well. I do check back as often as I can and try to keep up. Hopefully this will be resolved soon!

I started a new Tumblr blog, it’s just animal posts with a little info (location, status, facts) about each critter.
There’s a submit button so send any links, fun facts, photos, photographers you think would be a good fit
There’s also an ask so let me know yur thoughts, burning questions, which animals like to see or just let me know I’m not all alone out there :)
Anyway, if you get a chance, please check it out and let me know what you think…
